Murray Medical Centre is a private billing practice. Accounts must be paid at the end of a consultation.
Please note that for Medicare rebates to be received, the patient must be present during the consult. This means that your child or your elderly parent must be present, even if they may not be able to contribute to the consult. This applies to face-to-face consultations as well as telehealth consultations. In order to receive a Medicare rebate for a Telehealth consultation, you must have had a face-to-face consult with a GP at MMC in the last 12 months.
When booking your appointment, we ask you to consider what issues need to be discussed with your doctor. The standard appointment time is 15 minutes, with a long appointment time of 30 minutes. To assist us in minimising waiting times for fellow patients, your doctor may request for you to return for a follow up appointment in order to address all issues raised.
Please book an individual appointment for each family member that needs to be seen. This will help the doctor keep to time and give each individual the time they deserve rather than being rushed.

We wish to inform you that our fees have been updated as of 1st July 2026. Like many private businesses across the country, we are facing rising operational costs which have impacted the cost of delivering healthcare services.
We remain committed to providing high-quality and accessible medical care. However, continued reductions in Medicare rebates have placed increasing pressure on practices like ours.

General Practitioner Rates
Regular Hours
Regular hours are Monday-Friday from 8am to 6pm
Billing information is a guide only, your health professional will ensure you receive the most appropriate Medicare rebate for the service.

Evenings and Saturdays
Evenings start from 6pm on a weekday. Saturdays from 8:30-1pm.
Children and concession card holders will also be charged at these rates.

Sunday and Public Holiday Rates
These rates are charged before 8am on a weekday, Saturday after 1pm, all day Sunday and Public Holidays.

Discounted Rates (Conditions Apply)
Discounted rates are available Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
During these hours, Concession Card-holders and children under 12 may be given a discounted out of pocket fee.
Please also note: consultation complexity can vary greatly from patient to patient and reason for the consult. The billing will be determined by the doctor.
Cancellation/ Did Not Attend Policy for General Practitioner Appointments
We understand that there are times when you must miss an appointment due to emergencies or obligations for work or family. However, when you do not call to cancel an appointment, you are preventing another patient from getting much needed treatment.
If an appointment is not cancelled at least 2 hours in advance, a $60 fee will apply. Higher fees will apply for longer appointments, procedural appointments and weekend/PH appointments.

Psychologist
Jene Moody and Therese Forbes are psychologists who work from MMC. Their fees are listed below. A Medicare rebate is available with valid GP mental health care plan referral.

Cancellations
If you make an appointment with a psychologist, you are required to give 48 hours notice for any cancellations or a fee of $95 may be charged. Once you have confirmed your appointment, if you then cancel or fail to attend your appointment, you will be charged the full fee.
