Pregnancy care is available at Murray Medical Centre, including preconception advice, antenatal care, and postnatal care. Dr Van der Merwe consults as the practice's GP Obstetrician and provides pregnancy care from preconception through to the postnatal period. He works closely with the maternity services at Peel Health Campus as part of shared antenatal care.

First Appointment
Your first pregnancy appointment includes a review of your medical history, discussion of your pregnancy, planning for routine antenatal tests and scans, and an opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

Antenatal Appointments
Antenatal appointments may be longer than a standard consultation. Please allow sufficient time when booking your appointment. If you have specific scheduling requirements, please let reception know.

Postnatal Care
Following the birth of your baby, postnatal care is available for both mother and baby, including the six-week postnatal check, infant health assessments, immunisations, and ongoing family healthcare as appropriate.
