Management is based on the type of wound, your medical history, and any underlying health conditions that may affect healing. A treatment plan may include wound cleaning, dressings, monitoring of healing, and ongoing review appointments as required.

Where appropriate, your doctor may arrange investigations, prescribe medication, perform minor procedures, or refer you to another health professional or specialist as part of your ongoing care.

Please note due to the increasing cost of dressings, patient may have to provide their own or incur a cost during their visit.
